Tiger Woods Teaches Us Consequences Still Exist

If you watch any amount of tv you get a constant diet of what you do really doesn’t matter as long as it makes you happy. One of the things that has amazed me the most in the whole Tiger Woods debacle was the fact that society didn’t just give him a pass. Reality doesn’t match the constant message of culture that you can do what you want and not worry about it. Sponsor after sponsor has pulled their endorsement of Woods and he may even lose his family due to his poor decisions.

Bottom line, tv has it wrong and real life shows us that consequences still exist. What you do does matter. Morality and ethics are still important even if the make believe world of sitcoms tries to sell us a different message.
